국내 기업, 중국으로 인력 유출 '비상'

Chinese companies' endless attempts to recruit Korean workers have been occurring in key industries here including electronics and shipbuilding sectors.

중국 기업들의 끝없는 한국인 인력 채용 시도가 국내 전자, 조선 등 주력 산업에서 일어나고 있다.

According to workers in the display industry, the past three to four years have seen a boom in Chinese firms secretly trying to scout local talent in Korea by offering up to five times their current salaries among other attractive benefits.

디스플레이 업계 종사자들에 따르면 지난 3~4년 동안 중국 기업들이 다른 매력적인 혜택과 함께 현재 연봉의 최대 5배까지 제시하며 한국의 인재를 몰래 스카우트하려는 붐이 일었다고 한다.

They also are known to provide large incentives when seeking engineers or other personnel that have access to key technical information.

중국 기업들은 또한 주요 기술 정보에 접근할 수 있는 기술자나 기타 인력을 구할 때 많은 인센티브를 제공하는 것으로 알려졌다.

However, the benefits are short-lived with the recruited employees often getting the boot after the company is done draining key information from them.

그러나 채용된 직원들은 회사가 핵심 정보를 빼낸 후 해고되는 경우가 많아 그 혜택은 오래가지 못한다.

Chinese firms recruiting skilled employees from abroad is causing a brain drain not only in Korea but also in Japan, Taiwan, Germany and the U.S.

해외에서 숙련된 직원을 채용하는 중국 기업들이 국내뿐 아니라 일본, 대만, 독일, 미국에서도 핵심 인력 유출을 일으키고 있다.

In the semiconductor and display sectors, firms in China are particularly interested in key Korean personnel, with those working for local conglomerates or associated affiliates at the top of the recruitment list.

반도체와 디스플레이 분야에서는 국내 대기업이나 관련 계열사에 근무하는 직원들이 채용 상위권에 있을 만큼 중국 기업들은 특히 한국의 주요 인력에 관심을 두고 있다.

Over the past five years there have been over 580 cases of technology leaks 71 of which were solicited by foreign companies.

지난 5년간 580건 이상의 기술유출 사건이 발생했으며 이 중 71건은 외국 기업이 청탁한 것이다.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, which has tracked technology leaks between 2013 and 2018, out of 71 cases 48, or 68 percent, were solicited by Chinese firms.

2013~2018년 기술유출을 추적한 산업통상자원부 자료에 따르면 이 71건 중 68%인 48건이 중국 기업에 청탁을 받은 것으로 나타났다.
