2027년 대한민국 GDP 규모 세계 10위 탈환

Korea is expected to become the world's 10th largest economy in 2027, according to a report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research, a British think tank. It currently ranks 12th.

영국의 싱크탱크인 경제경영연구소(CEBR)의 보고서에 따르면 한국은 2027년에 세계 10위의 경제 대국이 될 것으로 보인다. 현재 순위는 12위다.

The World Economic League Table 2020, which was published last month, also forecasts that China will become the world's largest economy in 2033 and that India will overtake Germany to become the fourth largest in 2026.

지난달 발간된 '세계 경제 순위 2020'에 따르면 중국은 2033년 세계 최대의 경제 대국이 되고, 인도가 2026년 독일을 제치고 4위로 올라설 것으로 전망하고 있다.

The report says the economic slowdown in China has "badly hit" the Korean economy, which otherwise would grow faster.

이 보고서는 중국의 경기 침체가 한국 경제에 '큰 타격'을 입혔으며, 그러지 않았다면 한국 경제는 더 빨리 성장했을 것이라고 내다봤다.

"The data available so far for 2019 suggests that there was a slight decline in the rate of GDP growth, with the economy set to have expanded by 2 percent this year," the report says. This compares to 2.7 percent in 2018.

보고서는 "2019년도 자료를 토대로, GDP 성장률은 2%로 소폭 하락했음을 알 수 있다"고 밝혔다. 이는 2018년의 2.7%와 비교되는 수치다.

"Indeed, Korea's exports fell by 14.3 percent year-on-year in November, which was the sixth straight month of double-digit annual decline."

보고서는 "지난해 11월 한국의 수출은 전년 동월 대비 14.3% 감소해 6개월 연속 두 자릿수 감소세를 보였다"고 전했다.

A weak rate of population growth has limited overall GDP growth over the past five years, it notes.

인구 증가율의 감소세는 지난 5년간의 총 GDP 성장률을 제한했다고 이 보고서는 지적하고 있다.

The report forecasts that the annual growth rate of the country's economy will rise to an average of 2.8 percent between 2020 and 2025, before picking up further to an average of 2.9 percent between 2026 and 2034.

이 보고서는 2020-25년 사이 한국 경제의 연간 성장률이 평균 2.8%로 상승하고, 2026-34년 사이 평균 2.9%로 높아질 것으로 전망했다.
